End of Lease Cleaning Checklist for NSW Rentals
A room-by-room list of the cleaning that gets looked at during a final inspection, so nothing is missed before you hand back the keys. Tick items off on screen or print the page.
How to use this checklist
At the end of a tenancy your agent compares the property with the condition report from the start of your lease. That report, and any cleaning checklist your agent sends you, has the final word: this guide helps you prepare for it and does not replace it.

What a clean does not fix
- Wear and tear, damage and maintenance issues.
- Pests, painting and plaster repairs.
- Heavy mould or nicotine and post-construction residue.
- Deterioration that was already there at the start of the tenancy.
If one of these is on your agent's list, raise it with your agent before the inspection: a clean will not change it.
If the agent flags something after the clean
When we do the clean, it comes with our Bond-Back Guarantee: a free re-clean of items within the original end-of-lease scope, requested within 48 hours of the final inspection or key handover, once you send the exit report, agent comments or photos.
It excludes wear and tear, damage, maintenance issues, pests and pre-existing deterioration; items outside the original scope; and new dirt, access issues or changes after the clean. Guarantee terms
